Las Vegas, Nevada - The Las Vegas Urban League's Child Care Subsidy Program provides assistance to income eligible families who struggle with the high cost of child care. This program makes financial resources available to families so they are not forced to choose between groceries or quality child care. We work to empower parents to make the choices that will lead to self-sufficiency. Our program works in conjunction with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) and the Children's Cabinet.

The Las Vegas Urban League's Child Care Subsidy Program operates several offices throughout Las Vegas and Pahrump to serve our clients. To make these resources even more readily available, we also provide an easy-to-navigate website with an abundance of solid information, office locations, fast facts, applications in English and Spanish.

"This program is available today to provide Nevadans with supplemental resources so that families can access quality child care," says Michael Maxwell, Program Director. "We are extremely pleased with how well the program has been received and feel confident that we've developed a comprehensive intake system that allows new clients to move through the process and get the help that they need."

The overarching goal of the Las Vegas Urban League's Child Care Subsidy Program is to provide access to reliable, safe, and quality child care for the children of Southern Nevada by connecting children and families to a network of community partners and customer-driven programs. We provide customer service that is SMART (Service, Maximize, Access, Respect, and Timeliness). We are in the process of launching a full-scale SMART Service with a Smile customer feedback program to determine what our clients think and use their input to consistently improve our program.
