Our Funding Source
The Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) is the Federal funding source provided to states to assist low income families with the cost of child care, as well as to develop other programs and services which improve the quality and availability of child care within each state/community.
The State of Nevada, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is the designated lead agency to administer the CCDBG funds. DWSS contracts with community agencies to administer the programs CCDBG funds. In 2010, the Las Vegas Urban League was selected as the contractor to provide Child Care Subsidy services in Southern Nevada. In 2013, LVUL was selected to provide Child Care Resource and Referral and Fiscal Agent services as well as Child Care Subsidy.
