Child Care Subsidy Program
The Child Care Subsidy Program helps low-income families with the cost of child care. To qualify, the parent(s) must be working or in another activity, and must meet the income guidelines for their household size, based on a sliding fee scale.

Child Care Resource & Referral Services
The LVUL Early Childhood Connection, Child Care Resource & Referral program offers support services for families and child care providers, including:
- Helping families locate and understand their child care options
- Enrolling Family, Friend or Neighbor (FFN) providers with the Child Care Subsidy Program
- Explaining child care quality, availability and affordability
- Referring families to needed community resources
- Conducting annual health and safety home visits with FFN providers
- Informing providers of changes in state and federal regulations that may impact their business
- Providing financial and other resources to providers
- Helping parents and providers advocate for quality early childhood education opportunities for all children

Fiscal Agent Services
Fiscal Agent Services is an extension of the Child Care Subsidy Program, which works with the Provider Services department to reimburse child care providers for services provided to eligible children. Payment is made to providers in accordance with the DWSS Child Care Program Manual, typically within 30 business days from when LVUL ECC receives the provider’s request for reimbursement.
